Photographing motherhood is such an honor. A time filled with the highest joys, and sometimes the deepest challenges. It refines and shapes us, as we play perhaps the biggest role in shaping our little ones. The earliest stages of motherhood can be some of the most vulnerable times. To walk alongside women in the pregnancy, birth, and postpartum space is something that I am forever honored to be included in. Having completed doula mentorship, I hope to provide a sense of calm, confidence, and encouragement in the documentation of this sacred event. To be praying over and cheering on mom as she and her family welcome the newest life on Earth is such a gift that I continuously treasure.

What your experience will be like…

My ultimate goal in photographing your motherhood, whether it be your pregnancy, birth, or postpartum, is to capture the real, natural, and untouched moments. The good news with this is you don’t have to prepare one bit! No frantically cleaning your house, prepping matching outfits for your family, etc. I want you to look back at these images and feel and see exactly what this transformational season was like. In pregnancy, this could look like nesting at home with dad, or enjoying a walk on the beach imaging what it will be like with your baby in your arms. In the postpartum period, hopefully this looks like snuggling your baby in bed, breastfeeding, dad making a snack and bringing you water, and all the things of those newborn days. Nothing staged. No pressure. Just true, honest moments.
